How do you find a great celebrant? We asked ourselves the same question and as we didn’t get a satisfactory answer, we asked you. What are your criteria when you begin your search for a celebrant?

  • Put you first. We are committed to sharing the love stories of couples and families. Over the years our celebrants have championed personalised, meaningful ceremonies which can only come from true collaboration with the couples and families they work with. What’s your idea of a great ceremony? Not too stuffy, a little fun, tells your love story and is meaningful to you? A Leading Celebrant will make sure that your ceremony is exactly what you want.
  • Are reliable. They won’t keep you waiting for information, they will ensure your marriage is registered punctually, correctly and legally with the local BDM and they have a reliable car.
  • Are punctual. Leading Celebrants will arrive 1 hour before the ceremony to ensure they are set-up well before the guests begin to arrive. They will always leave a generous amount of time between ceremonies to accommodate you being fashionably late.
  • Are professional, organised and competent. We see our commitment to you as a privilege and an honour. We are dedicated to ensuring that your day is the best it can be.
  • Are Backed-Up. Leading Celebrants have someone on call at all times to cover emergencies.
  • Are Highly Qualified. They have the current level of training, Certificate IV and up-to-date Ongoing Professional Development, which qualifies them as Authorised Commonwealth Civil Celebrants. They also have an excellent working knowledge of the English language.
  • Are Stylish and Accomplished. We will wear appropriate attire for your ceremony, and we will discuss this with you prior to the wedding. Leading Celebrants are always well groomed.
  • Are Insured. We are members of a registered professional celebrant group which covers us for insurance purposes.
  • Are Experienced. All Leading Celebrant members perform a minimum of 15 ceremonies a year.
  • Are Helpful. We carry a current 1st Level First-Aid Certificate
  • Have‘ Working with Children’ clearance.
  • Are Well-Equipped. We all have top of the range PA equipment.
  • Are Ethical, Caring, Honest and Thoughtful.

Leading Celebrants began life in 2015 as an idea to bring together fabulous celebrants who were committed to sharing the love stories of couples and families.
Over the years our celebrants have championed personalised, meaningful ceremonies which can only come from true collaboration with the couples and families they work with.
We want to help you choose a celebrant who you connect with as this is the best way to ensure you have a fantastic ceremony that totally reflects you. We also want to build public awareness of just how important a great celebrant is.
